Funny signs work so well because the eye recognises the shape before the brain reads the text. This collection uses exactly that reflex: yellow triangle, red ban sign, blue mandatory sign, black border with white capitals – all familiar, all correctly designed, only the message would never have been approved. The ban on things nobody has done in 66 million years. The notice about a dispenser that cannot actually listen. The out-of-order sign for anything that fails to work on a Monday, colleagues included. They belong wherever a real sign is missing: door, vending machine, printer, locker, guest bathroom. Printed on weatherproof adhesive vinyl with a glossy UV coating, cut borderless with no white edge, removable without residue. They work best at eye level and on their own – two signs side by side take away each other’s credibility.
